SPIRITED SOUNDTRACKS: THE MUSIC OF STUDIO GHIBLI
Which world does your favourite song take you to?
Some melodies don’t just bring back memories, they open doors.
Join conductor Juliane Gallant and the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra for an unforgettable journey through the music of Studio Ghibli composer Joe Hisaishi, whose sweeping scores have transported audiences into some of animation’s most beloved worlds.
From the gentle wonder of My Neighbor Totoro to the soaring imagination of Spirited Away and the adventurous spirit of Kiki’s Delivery Service, these iconic melodies invite you to return to places you may have thought you left behind.
A celebration of music, memory and cinematic magic, this is an experience for longtime fans, curious newcomers and anyone who believes a song can take you somewhere else.
