A little song, a little dance, sulphuric acid in your pants.

We’re mad as hell and we’re going to perform bouncy little chansons about it! You’re an Albertan so you know the feeling, It starts around the news time with a queasy sensation that develops into a minor tie, followed by an involuntary shudder. Pretty soon it’s hysterical, rocket-fueled outrage – at the government, youth, crime, media, the rich, the poor, you name it. This ain’t no hissy fit, it’s a full-on conniption – one medical condition you can be damn sure it is not covered by Alberta Health. Well, as the great Kurt Weill once nearly said: “Don’t get mad, get a piano.” On the heels of another successful tour to Scotland (Alien Bait), One Yellow Rabbit ladles from its cauldron of rage to serve up the company’s first production of the season. Conniption Cabaret is a mix of music and comedy for everyone who knows the feeling of getting all bent out of shape.
