Written by Blake Brooker and David Rhymer

Step into the mesmerizing world of Dream Machine, a reimagined masterpiece by Blake Brooker and David Rhymer. Originally performed in 2003, this avant-garde production delves into the hallucinogenic landscape of the American Beat movement.

Set in the heart of the 1950s Beat circle, the narrative revolves around the eccentricities of iconic figures Allen Ginsberg, William S. Burroughs, and Brion Gysin. At the center of their rebellious pursuits lies the enigmatic Dream Machine—a device designed to liberate the mind from the shackles of mainstream culture. Through flickering lights and choreographed songs, the audience is taken on a journey that transcends the boundaries of traditional theatre.

Dream Machine is not your typical musical; it's a radical departure from the norm. Blending live and electronic music, along with One Yellow Rabbit's signature physicality, the production offers a unique sensorial experience. The surreal narrative, coupled with haunting visuals, explores the unconventional lives of these wild outsiders whose quest for spiritual and artistic freedom left an indelible mark on popular culture.

Indulge in the captivating allure of Dream Machine, where the boundaries between reality and dreams blur, and the legacy of the Beat generation comes to life in a way that is both thought-provoking and visually stunning.
