Building on the success of their 2023 production, She Sat Down and Wept, the BYA team delves into an exploration of Mary Ann Evans, famously known by her pen name George Eliot, and her intricate novel Middlemarch.

This English masterpiece holds a special place for literary enthusiasts. Generations of readers have immersed themselves in its pages, finding joy in the experience whether it's a first read or a re-read. Crafted by a literary rock star with a brilliant mind, a wicked sense of humour, and a profound understanding of humanity, Middlemarch remains timeless.

Our team of BeautifulYoungArtists weave through the narrative, gracefully sliding, slinking, probing, and swooning over the profound work that shook the late 19th century. They promise to breathe life into this narrative, fostering a conversation that illuminates the genius of a bygone era through a contemporary lens. Join us as we bridge the past and present, bringing George Eliot's legacy to the One Yellow Rabbit stage.

Directed by One Yellow Rabbit Associate Artist Denise Clarke, the show features Lauren Brady, Grace Fedorchuk, Arash Minhas, Donna Ng, Sarah Ord and Maezy Reign.
