Nathan Cuckow
STANDupHOMO
From Edmonton - "A horribly funny, unapologetically insulting and ultimately masterful production." - Vue Magazine
Nathan Cuckow slayed Fringe audiences with this hilariously incendiary one-man/multi-character experience. With immense charm, Cuckow plays a gay stand-up comedian wracked by a Mormon upbringing and its inevitable thwarting of his sexual being. Throughout his act he channels variously dysfunctional family members, like his father (both his bishop and his therapist) and his bitchy tranny "sister", Princess. He can't repress fast enough, and the routine dives headlong into a deconstruction of gender identity, mental illness and the existence of God and still stays funny.
