One Yellow Rabbit (OYR) is seeking a Patron Services Manager for a part-time salaried position.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Patron Services Manager is responsible for the company’s front-line services including box office, front-of-house and concession, managing them in
accordance with the company’s core value of being “the best host”. The Patron Services Manager provides an excellent patron experience by focusing on friendliness, comfort, efficiency, cleanliness and safety. Additionally, the Patron Services Manager is the volunteer coordinator for the company, recruiting and managing volunteers and ensuring that their experience is fun, organized and rewarding. The Patron Services Manager works closely with the rest of the company’s staff. Positions reporting to the Patron Services Manager include all part-time casual box office, front-of-house and bar staff.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience in front line customer service, preferably in the performing arts
and/or hospitality industry; - Have a proven skill in supervising and motivating others;
- Have excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills;
- Have good time management skill and the ability to multitask in a busy environment;
- Have a strong orientation towards cleanliness, organization and safety;
- Be friendly and conscientious;
- Have a passion for the performing arts;
- Be positive, motivated and creative;
- Excel as part of a tight-knit team.
The successful candidate should expect a challenging job that demands their best, and that is
also rewarding and fun.
Salary: $21,000 per year plus the possibility of some benefits (to be discussed).
Projected hours (guideline only–subject to change):
- September through April (except January): 22 hours/week
- January 50 hours/week
- May through August: 18 hours/week
- Some additional hours during weeks with public performances and special events.
